Principal's Message Term 1 Week 11 2024
Dear Parents,
As this term draws to a close, we wish to thank all of our staff, students and parents for their ongoing support in making Mother Teresa School a great place to, as the song says, "work and play well together". It has been a busy, but enjoyable and productive Term 1, with much more to come for the remainder of 2024.
Staffing News
Sadly, we farewell Mrs Marcia Quinnane. We thank her for the contribution she has made to 4 Amethyst and wish her all the best for future.
School Commencement Date for Term 2
A reminder that school will resume on Tuesday April 30 as there will be a system wide pupil free day on the Monday.
House Winners
Congratulations to the students in Jackman house, who won the Term One prize for earning the most tokens. This is the first time that Jackman has won, so they were all very thrilled. They celebrated with a barbecue lunch and a delicious snow cone!
Spare Clothing
A message from our student front office requesting donations of NEW socks and tights for our Emergency Clothes. We currently have none as they have not been replaced (as requested when handed out).
At MTS we do carry some emergency clothing, but it needs to be washed and returned to the school after use please. Underpants need to be replaced with new ones due to health regulations.
School Disco
A reminder that our school disco will take place on the first Friday back (May 3). Information has been sent out on COMPASS and is featured in this edition of the newsletter.
Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable break.

"It was written that the Christ would suffer and on the third day rise from the dead."
Something to Think About
Jesus stood among his disciples and offered them peace. Do you bring peace to your family? To your friends? What can you do this week to be a peacemaker?
The Story
While the disciples were walking along the road to Emmaus, Jesus appeared to them, but they did not recognise him at first. They recognised Jesus when he broke the bread.
As the disciples were talking about this, Jesus appeared to them again. They were afraid and thought they were seeing a ghost, but Jesus showed them his hands and his feet. The disciples were filled with joy to see Jesus. They gave Jesus some fish to eat, and Jesus explained the Scriptures to the disciples.
