Religious Education Term 4 Week 11 - 2021
WHOLE SCHOOL FOCUS The Whole school focus theme for this year is:
‘We Are Bee-Attitude Keepers”
4th Sunday in Advent
December 2021 - Year C
“Why should I be honoured with a
visit from the mother of my Lord?”
Something to Think About
Is there anyone you know who might like a visit from you? Or is there someone for whom you could do a kind deed?
The Story
Mary makes a journey to see Elizabeth. Elizabeth is expecting a baby who will grow up to be John the Baptist. Mary is expecting her baby, Jesus. When Mary arrives, the baby inside Elizabeth moves with joy. Elizabeth exclaims that Mary has been blessed more than any other woman because she believed that God’s promise would come true.
Reflecting on the Gospel
A blessing is a prayer that asks God to protect and look after someone.
Who would you like to bless today?
As well as saying a prayer for someone, you can be a blessing to them through what you say and do. How might you be a blessing to someone this week?
2021 Christmas Appeal
At Mother Teresa School we are surely blessed to have such a generous and giving community. Denise Twigg from St Vincent de Paul sent a big thank you for the hampers that you delivered this week together with the donation of $927 which will go towards helping needy families in the Gungahlin this Christmas. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
Peace and best wishes
