Religious Education Term 3 Week 2 - 2021
WHOLE SCHOOL FOCUS
The Whole school focus theme for this year is:
‘We Are Bee-Attitude Keepers”
Our value this week is: Forgiveness
We show Forgiveness at Mother Teresa School by:
- Say sorry. Cool down.
- Stop the problem.
- Talk about the problem.
- Take turns talking and listening.
- Think of solutions to the problem.
- Pick a solution you both like and go with it!
THANK YOU
Thank you to our wonderful Year 3 Turquoise and 3 Sapphire students and their teachers, Mrs Blackwell, Mrs Snowdon and Mrs Cramond for their fabulous Focus Assembly on Forgiveness. They shared some beautiful prayers of the faithful and role played different ways in which we show forgiveness. They concluded with the beautiful song that the whole school is learning this term called “Wide, High, Long, Deep” that portrays God’s love.
Jonty along with some of our Mini Vinnies presented the wonderful array of warm winter sock, gloves and beanies that were donated and the amazing $1,700 to Matt from St Vincent de Paul. Matt presented the school with a certificate of appreciation.
Reconciliation & First Eucharist
Please pray for our Year 3 teachers and students who are currently preparing for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Thank you to all those families who attended last weekend and collected their booklets.
There are some Mass Booklets waiting to be collected. This can be done this weekend from one of the teachers. Please encourage your child to bring this booklet to Mass and follow along.
17th Sunday in Ordinary Time
25 July 2021 - Year B
“Jesus gave the people all the
food they wanted.”
Something to Think About
Have you ever felt really hungry? Sometimes we forget how lucky we are to have food to eat every day. In many places around the world, there is not enough food to go around. The next time someone gives you some food to eat, remember to thank that person – and say thanks to God too.
The Story
The people travelled the countryside to see and hear Jesus. They were so eager to be near Jesus that they forgot to bring food. When they became hungry, Jesus turned 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish into enough food to feed thousands of people – and there were 12 baskets left over!

Dear Jesus, Thank you for the food and drink we enjoy each day. Please bless those who are hungry, and help us to share what we have with others. Amen. |
Peace and best wishes
