Principal's Report Week 6 Term 1 - 2019
New Appointment
Congratulations to Danielle Cooper, who has successfully attained the position of Defence School Transition Aide at Mother Teresa School. Danielle has previously worked in this role as well as working at the front office.
This position is allocated to our community due to the large numbers of Defence families we have enrolled at our school and is essential in supporting new students and those who have parents deployed.
Danielle’s work days will be Wednesday and Thursday. Families can contact Danielle via email danielle.cooper@cg.catholic.edu.au.
WWVP Registration
A reminder to all volunteers that it is a requirement to obtain a Working With Vulnerable People card in order to work with our students. A reminder also that you must carry your card on you whilst on the school premises. The card is free for volunteers in the ACT. More information can be located at https://www.accesscanberra.act.gov.au/app/answers/detail/a_id/1804/~/working-with-vulnerable-people-%28wwvp%29-registration
Mini Maths Mornings
Thanks to the 23 families who attended the first ‘Mini Maths Morning’ for K-2 this Tuesday. The program is at capacity for this term, however the Year 3-6 edition will take place later in Term 3. A huge thanks to Mrs Williams and her band of merry helpers including Mrs White, Mrs Blackwell, Mrs Thomas and Ryan, from the Australian Catholic University, who offered their expertise.
Woolworths Earn and Learn
Our ELC is collecting ‘Earn and Learn’ vouchers. These can be dropped off at the ELC front office.
Peter Hughes on leave
Mr Hughes will be enjoying a well-earned break over the next four weeks. For any correspondence during this time please contact me directly by emailing craig.hart@cg.catholic.edu.au
