Principal's Report Week 9 Term 4 2020
Dear parents,
Today students were given their reports and class lists for 2021. If you have not received it, please contact your child’s teacher.
This week we held our year six graduation ceremonies, their farewell mass and the celebratory disco. Many of our year six students have been at MTS for eight years and we have seen them grow in so many ways over that time. They are a wonderful group of students who have been outstanding role models for the younger students, and we are confident they will continue to develop into young adults their families can be proud of. For some families it is their last child leaving MTS and ends a long association with our school. We thank you for your support over the years.
I thank all staff, parents and Fr Mark for taking part or preparing for the celebrations held this week. We now look forward to seeing our year five students taking on leadership roles at our school next year.
Next week students can wear Christmas themed clothes on Friday which is the last day of the school year.
Math’s Problem
Congratulations to Brody Press who was the winner of last week’s problem. This week’s problem is below.
Adrienne, Betty and Cathy were the only three competitors participating in a series of athletic events. In each event, the winner gets 33 points, second gets 22 points and third gets 11 points. After the events, Adrienne has 88 points, Betty has 11 points and Cathy has 55points.
In how many events did Adrienne come second?
Assembly
Next Wednesday we will be holding our last assembly for the year commencing at 9.30am. Unfortunately, due to COVID concerns, parents will be unable to attend. At this assembly we will be presenting our MTS awards, academic excellence and effort awards, chess trophies as well as farewelling the children of defence families leaving our school.
God Bless
Peter Hughes
