Principal's Report Term 4 Week 2
Dear parents,
The school has submitted COVID plans for both the Year 6 Farewell and our orientation sessions for students new to MTS in 2021.
It is planned to have three orientation sessions, with the Kindergarten sessions taking place on Tuesday 17th and Thursday 19th November. The new students from grades other than kindergarten will have their orientation session on Friday 20th November. Each of these will have their own information sessions for parents.
Our Year 6 farewell event, with parents attending, has been given the OK to proceed on Tuesday 8th December in two sessions.
The farewell mass incorporating the candle ceremony has been planned for the 9th December but approval has not yet been granted as we usually have a large number of parents in attendance. A Year Six disco will be held on the evening of the 9th for students only. More details for all the above events will be sent home shortly.
Book Week
Well done to staff and students for their enthusiastic participation in the Book Week activities today. A highlight was the annual play put on by staff. Thank you to Mrs Williams for her organisation of the day. We will put together a few photos and share them next week.
Congratulations to all the students that participated in the touch football carnival this week. Mr Roweth has put together a wrap up of the day which is included later in my news.
