The Sports Spectacle

This Thursday, Mr. Moore, Mrs. Smith, and I embarked on an epic adventure with 54 MTS athletes to the AIS for the North Gungahlin Track and Field Carnival. Picture this: quick runners zipping by and athletes soaring through the air like superheroes! A huge shoutout to Coby Gleeson, Will Minns, Dash Meagher, Lachlan Rodda, Zoe Le Sambolec & Jameson Evans for making it to the ACT Track and Field Carnival! Ribbons will be handed out at Monday morning assembly.

And speaking of superheroes, three of our students have scored a spot on various ACT U12 School Sport teams! They’ll be competing in Ballarat this October, where they'll not only flex their athletic muscles but also get to explore other sports like Golf, Swimming, Soccer, Touch Football, Cricket, Netball, and Tennis. It’s like the Olympics, but with more snacks! The chosen ones are:

• Grace Power - Combined Touch Football
• Lena Sgouros - Soccer (Football), selected as shadow
• Leah McIntosh - Netball, also selected as shadow
