Brrr! Is it just me, or is winter knocking at our door this week? Luckily, we had some sunshine on Tuesday, allowing us to take three teams to the NRL Sullivan Shield Gala Day. We sent two Year 5/6 teams and one 3/4 team out to conquer the field! And let me tell you, all teams displayed such exceptional sportsmanship that I half-expected them to start handing out gold medals for being nice.

The organisers handed out three drink bottles to the players who exemplified fairness, grit, and sportsmanship. Our amazing coaches—Mr. Gresham, Mr. Gorrell, and Mr. Palombi—selected their top players, and guess what? Grace Power, Olivia Young, and Mikael Kim-Oh are now the proud owners of shiny new Raiders drink bottles! Who knew being fair and gritty could be so… refreshing?

Mark your calendars because our annual Athletics Carnival is happening next Thursday! It’s shaping up to be a brisk day. Please make sure to dress your child appropriately; the AIS can be chillier than a penguin's party. And for the love of all things sporty, label EVERYTHING! We don’t want any lost jackets wandering off to find a new owner.
