Principal's Message Term 2 Week 6 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
Confirmation
Please keep the Year 6 students receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on Tuesday evening in your prayers. This is a very important time in their faith journey.
Medication at School
All medication at school must be administered and supervised by our First Aid Admin Officers. Medication should never be left in a child's bag, for fear that another child with gain access and decide to try it. All medication must be handed in at the office in a clearly labelled bag or box, including name, dose, and instructions. Medication forms are available from the office. Let's keep the children safe.
Changeover from hats to beanies
This is a reminder that now winter is here, the children do not need to wear their sunhats until the end of August; this is in line with the SunSmart recommendation. A navy beanie should be worn, as part of the uniform, to keep ears warm when outdoors.
Staff and student illness
This week, we have continued to see an increase in the number of staff and children away due to various strains of the flu and COVID. Please monitor your child closely, and please keep them at home if not well.
Athletic Carnival
Next Thursday, the children in Years 2 to 6 will travel to the AIS for the Annual Athletics Carnival. The Kinder and Year 1 children will have activities on the oval; this information will be sent out by Tuesday to parents, should you like to drop in and help. Please note that parents should hold a current WWVP to volunteer to help.
Interschool Cross Country
Best of luck to our cross-country runners who will be competing next week.
Have a lovely three-day weekend, I'm hoping for a much quieter weekend around the school, considering the excitement of last weekend.
