CONFIRMATION

Let us lift up those preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation that this unique time of preparation will inspire in their hearts a deep love for Christ and his Church.

Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created, and you shall renew the face of the earth.

The Whole school focus theme for this year is: Be Just Like Jesus

To be like Jesus is to be a person willing to put others before yourself, to seek wisdom, and to care about how you interact with all people you come across in life

SPIRIT DAY

On Tuesday 28th July our Year 6 students participated in ‘Spirit Day’. We hope the students enjoyed the opportunity to reflect on their faith journey so far this year. They celebrated Reconciliation with Fr Mark and Fr Jiss in an uplifting ceremony. All appreciated the lunchtime barbeque cooked by Mr Hughes, Mr Hart, Mr Roweth and Daniel. An opportunity in the afternoon to create cards for their sponsors and engage in various activities ensured that our Confirmation candidates are well and truly prepared to make the sacrament in the next few weeks.

First Eucharist & Reconciliation

We are inviting those who aren't able to make it in person to attend via zoom on Sunday morning at 9:30am using this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/824036573

Parents please ensure that your child has their mass booklet with them to follow along with the mass. If they have not received it yet please let me know. Thank you!

“They all ate and were satisfied.”

Something to Think About

This gospel passage reminds us that Jesus feeds us in many ways.
The people in the story are hungry in many ways - hungry to hear Jesus' message, hungry to feel his healing touch, hungry just to be near him. The disciples, as usual, look to Jesus to do everything and to have all the answers.

Jesus says to the disciples, 'Feed them yourselves'. Miracles do happen and will happen more readily if people work together to bring about the kingdom.

The Story

In this week’s story, Jesus is looking for some peace and quiet, a place to be alone and take a break. But the crowds follow him everywhere. They will not leave him alone. His reaction to the crowds is not annoyance or anger, but compassion. Instead of sending the people away, Jesus tells the disciples to give them something to eat.

Peace and best wishes
