WHOLE SCHOOL FOCUS
The Whole school focus theme for this JUBILEE 2025 year is ‘PILGRIMS OF HOPE’
This term at Mother Teresa School we will use the theme that:
The Journey of Faith: Dream, Slow Down, and Reflect
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11
We will show the value of Compassion towards those we meet in our class and on the playground by following ‘The Mother Teresa School Way’:
- Empathise
- Include others
- Recognise and respond to others’ needs
- Express care
- Describe feelings
- Take action to assist others
- Allow others to be themselves
FOCUS ASSEMBLY
Thank you Mrs Blackwell, Mrs O’Keefe and Mrs van der Sanden and along with 5 Pearl and 5 Ivory for leading the Opening School Liturgy and presenting a beautiful Focus Assembly on Pilgrims of Hope & Compassion.
They shared the scripture from Luke 4:14-21 With these words, Jesus makes it clear—He has come to bring hope, healing, and love to the world. He does not stay silent or passive; He lives out His mission through truth and compassion.
As a school community, we, too, are called to follow The Life—the way of Jesus—just as Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta did. She saw Jesus in the poor, the sick, and the forgotten, and she served with a heart full of love. The whole school joined in with a fabulous song ‘Lord I need You’.

Something to Think About
Loving people is not always easy, but we need to keep trying to be kind and helpful even to those people we may not like. Can you think of a time when you have found it hard to love someone?
The Story
The gospel today tells us about the amazing generosity, compassion, and forgiveness of God. Since we are God’s children, Jesus tells us to act in the same way. Jesus tells us to love everyone, even the people who hurt us. He tells us to give things to people, even if we won’t get anything in return. He tells us to forgive people and be good to them, even when they are unkind or cruel to us.
