WHOLE SCHOOL FOCUS
The Whole school focus theme for this year is ‘Walking Together’.
‘The Mother Teresa School Way’:
We will show the value of Consideration towards those we meet in our class and on the playground by:
- Including others
- Listening attentively
- Showing good sportsmanship
- Treating others equitably
PRAYER FOCUS
Thank you to Mrs Brown, Mrs Young, Ms O’Leary, 2 Jade and 2 Lime students who presented a fabulous Prayer Focus on Consideration. The students did an amazing job at presenting what consideration looks like at MTS and how they are going to live our motto ‘Do Small things With Great Love’ by being considerate. They retold the story the story of the Good Samaritan using echo mime and welcomed the Gospel with a beautiful song, ‘Open the Eyes of My Heart’. This was truly a wonderful way to explain consideration to all students.

comes in the name of the Lord."
The Story
Jesus sends his disciples to find a donkey and her colt. The disciples place clothes on the animals’ backs, and then Jesus rides into Jerusalem on the donkey. The people throw their cloaks on the ground and wave branches and shout Hosanna, which means 'save us'. There is great excitement as the people welcome Jesus and praise God.

Palm Sunday
This weekend our Parish will celebrate Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday begins Holy Week and commemorates Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
This Sunday, 2nd April at the 9.30am Parish mass, some of our Year 6 Confirmation students will be dramatizing the Gospel. Our ELC and Kindergarten students are invited to come along and participate in the Palm Sunday celebration by entering the church with Fr. Troy waving palms as the opening hymn is sung.
We would love to see many of our families come along and celebrate with the entire Holy Spirit Parish.

SEASONS FOR GROWTH
Dear Parents and Carers,
Loss and grief are issues which affect all of us at some stage in our lives. Learning to deal effectively with these issues is central to personal wellbeing and happiness. Unresolved grief can also affect a student’s learning. ‘Seasons for Growth’ is an Australian education program which supports participants who have experienced change in their family because of a death, separation or divorce. This program explores issues such as change, loss, managing feelings, coping strategies and support networks. ‘Seasons’ is an eight session program which concludes with an additional celebration session. The program is available to students in years 1, 2, 3,4, 5 & 6. Please contact anne.leet@cg.catholic.edu.au if your child has not enrolled and you still wish them to participate in the program ‘Seasons’ will commence in Term Two.

Peace and Best Wishes.
