Remembrance Day - Friday 11 November

Thank you to Mrs Flemington and Mrs Hicks for organising our Remembrance Day Service which featured special guests from the ADF, our school choir and students whose families are ADF members.

Protected Industrial Action Tuesday 15 November 8.30am - 9.30 am

I am writing to share with you information concerning planned protected industrial action by the Independent Education Union (‘IEU’). I have been informed that some IEU members from Mother Teresa School will be participating in one hour of protected industrial action in the form of a work stoppage.

The IEU has advised that the work stoppage will occur on Tuesday 15 November, between 8.30am and 9.30 am. As a result of this action, our school will experience staff shortages on Tuesday morning.

While we will have limited staff to provide supervision for outside play from 8.15am, I ask that parents please delay their morning drop off arrangements until 9.20am. This will help to minimise the number of children at school. The morning bell will ring at 9.30am. Kids Biz will be operating as normal with the school taking over the supervision of those children from 8.45am.

MTS Community School Picnic and Christmas Carols

Carols presented by students
and the O'Christmas Trio from 6.00pm - 7.30pm

Each grade is currently learning a carol song to sing during the evening.

Bring Your Own Picnic Dinner

This is a child-friendly event so please, no alcohol

If any family operates a street food van/truck and would like to set up on the night please contact me ASAP. Must hold a food licence and public liability insurance.

Boorowa Refunds

As this event was cancelled, all money paid to play at Boorowa in the touch football or netball carnival has now been credited back to families via a credit off the family schools fees. An updated fee statement will be sent out to all families to reflect this process.

Year 6 End of Year Events

Messages have been sent via Compass to the Year 6 parents regarding events coming up for Year 6 Students. Please check for all information and dates.

2023 Kinder Orientation

We have set aside Wednesday 16 and 23 November, between 3.30pm and 4.30 pm, for our 2023 kinder children to visit for two short orientation sessions. Information has been emailed to families. Any family who has not received the induction information should contact the school office.
