Dear Parents,
Last Friday the Social and Fundraising Committee of the Community Council organised and hosted a very successful ‘Street Fair’. Those that attended were entertained by a variety of acts and participated in a shared dinner. I thank all the members of the committee for their hard work that enabled it to be such a successful evening. I especially thank Tanya Bolton, Michelle Scott, Marina Ivancic, Louise Wilkinson and Bianca Punter for their work both preparing for the evening and their work on the night.
As we come to the end of the school year we say farewell to a number of staff members for a variety of reasons. As a school we farewell, Miss Heather Wozniak, Miss Carly Tesoriero, Mrs Kate Mason who are all travelling interstate; Miss Veronica Trow who has accepted a position at St Bede’s, Red Hill, and Mrs Danielle Cooper who is studying. We thank all of these staff members who have made a significant contribution to the daily life of students at MTS.
This week I finalised all full time classroom teaching positions for next year and now have only to fill a few part-time roles. I still hope to have all positions filled by the time we send home class lists with reports.
Parents are reminded that the last day of school for students at Mother Teresa is Thursday 19th December.

We have a number of parents involved with the various committees and these will be finalised at the start of 2020 to allow new parents the opportunity to be involved. The committees that operate under the Community Council are the Social and Fundraising Committee; the Finance and Governance Committee and the Building and Facilities Committee. We also have parents involved in organising year level Facebook pages and leading the netball club both of which report to the community council.
Maths Problem
Congratulations to Elizabeth Uhlmann (5 Ivory) who was last week’s winner. This week’s problem is below.
A bag contains four white marbles, four blue marbles and four red marbles. If marbles are drawn out at random, what is the minimum number that must be drawn out to be certain that you have a pair the same colour?
God Bless
Peter Hughes
