Principal's Report Term 2 Week 8 - 2019
Dear Parents,
Thank you to all the parents that attended last Tuesday’s Community Council. Mother Teresa School is blessed with an enthusiastic group of parents that want to help build the school community and provide more opportunities for the students.
A summary of the meeting will be distributed to parents soon after each meeting.
A reminder that the details of the Community Council members is on the school’s website along with the email address for the Community Council should you wish to contact them.
The school is a hive of activity as we move into the last two weeks of the term. Years One and Two are busily preparing for their production in week ten while the older students are continuing their preparation for Wakakirri. Teachers are busily finalising reports which will go home at the end of next week.
Maths Problem
Congratulations to Raeland Loney (1 Ochre) who was last week’s winner. Today’s problem is aimed at the older students but all are welcome to try.
Elizabeth’s Garden
Elizabeth is creating a fenced-in section for her new garden. She wants the garden to be 24 square metres to fit all of the plants she wishes to grow. How many different ways can she make the garden? How much fence does she need for each different design? What is the largest amount of fence she would need? What is the smallest? She has only one gate, so all parts of the garden must be connected.
Finally, congratulations to our students who attended the ACT Cross Country and the Sullivan Shield. A full report with photos follows.
God Bless
Peter Hughes
